During the Summer of 2015, I landed my first ever work experience role as a graphic designer in an agency called WATB (What Are The Buttons). This project is an oldie and is definitely one I would have improvements for now, but I like to show it on my portfolio as it's where my excitement for a design career really began and something I am still very proud of to this day.
A few weeks into my work experience, WATB gave me the opportunity to design a mural for the meeting room in their office in Surrey.
I began the project by carrying out some research with the team and discussing the concepts that they wanted. From there, I developed a collection of illustrations that represented the company, which included pieces to symbolise their clients and inside jokes.
I designed the mural in Illustrator and then the final design got printed on Wallpaper.

The end result is something I was extremely happy with! It was such a unique opportunity to see my illustrations blown up across a huge wall right at the start of my career. It introduced me to story-telling in illustration and I definitely left my mark in the agency's office.

Would you like to create a mural or illustration that tells a story?
